I Feel Beautiful, Important, and Loved

This heartwarming children’s book celebrates family, self-worth, and the deep love between generations. Commissioned by the author, I illustrated Amelia and her grandparents as charming, stylized caricatures of their real-life counterparts, ensuring Amelia radiated warmth and cuteness while staying true to the grandmother’s vision.

Using my personal vectored style, I emphasized expressive emotions and bright, inviting colours to reinforce the book’s uplifting message. One of the biggest challenges was translating all the love, admiration, and joy into engaging visuals that truly captured the essence of family bonds. Through close collaboration with the author and a thorough refinement process, I ensured every illustration reflected their vision, making the final result deeply personal and emotionally resonant.
