The 24 Founders

This engaging introductory book brings young readers into the world of Jainism, an ancient Indian religion rooted in non-violence and spiritual teachings. My challenge was to ensure historical and cultural accuracy while making the illustrations captivating and accessible for children.

Using my personal vector art style, I infused the book with bright and striking colours, carefully considering Hindu cultural influences to create a visually rich and meaningful representation of Jainism. Every background, character, and composition was meticulously crafted to balance authenticity with an engaging storytelling approach.

Collaboration was key—I worked closely with the author, refining the illustrations based on detailed feedback and revisions to ensure the final visuals aligned seamlessly with their vision. The most rewarding aspect of this project was achieving the client's goals, particularly in bringing the 24 Tirthankars to life while maintaining both artistic creativity and educational depth.
